教育方法の実践例"IBM as a Globally Integrated Enterprise"(Kenichi Ohmae Graduate School of Business) 2008
Globalization and analysis of IBM as a role model for a Globally Integrated Enterprise.
・ By reviewing the journey that successful companies like IBM have taken we can learn about the barriers they have faced and the learning that they have gained from experience.
・ Few companies have been as successful as IBM - with the third most recognized brand in the world (Interbrand survey) even though it does not sell any consumer facing products, and what it does is actually difficult to explain.
・ Best practice companies set the benchmarks for other companies in their sectors and are differentiated as thought leaders and innovators around the world. IBM strives to be not only an innovator, but the “Innovators’ Innovator” ? the partner that other companies turn to in order to help make them innovative.
Through broader class discussions, we will consider why IBM has been successful in reinventing itself as a Globally Integrated Enterprise and discuss the approach this company and others have taken to achieve globalization.
